Why’s our board size 303mm instead of the standard 12 inches (304.8mm)?

Because we’re chopping up a 92×92cm board into 9 even pieces of 30.3×30.3mm. If we went for the standard 12”×12” (30.48×30.48cm), we’d only get 4 chunks, doubling the cost and wasting wood. And most customers can accept a 1.5mm margin of error.
